On surgery day your pet receives a pre-surgical examination, Isoflurane gas anesthesia, and electronic monitoring of heart rate and blood-oxygen levels throughout. Afterward, your pet stays 1–2 nights with us for post-surgery recovery care. Pre-surgical blood work and post-operative pain control are available, and every client receives a discount to keep the procedure affordable.

About spays
A spay (ovariohysterectomy) removes the ovaries and uterus so they can never become a source of infection — and unlike tube-tying, your pet won't come into heat or attempt to breed. There's no evidence a pet suffers any personality change from the procedure.
About neuters
A neuter (castration) removes the testicles through a small incision. The benefits are well documented — many owners report improved behavior and manageability, even in guard and hunting dogs.
The "fat and lazy" myth
Spaying and neutering do not make a pet fat and lazy. In a healthy dog or cat, overfeeding and too little exercise are the causes of weight gain — don't blame the surgery.
